Solutions to side gauge scratches

as the world's second largest and Asia's largest R & D manufacturer of industrial aluminum extrusion products, the collar machine of monochrome or two-color machine often encounters side gauge scratches when four-color double-sided prints are printed upside down. There are generally two reasons for the failure: one is that the side gauge paper pulling time is too long, and the side gauge paper pressing wheel pressure is too heavy; One is that because the printing period is very tight, the ink is turned over without drying in time, so that the paper pulling wheel (some of which are iron strip type) under the side gauge scrapes a print at the place where it contacts the back of the paper, which seriously affects the quality of the print

I have consulted with many brother manufacturers. The solution is to use quick drying ink to dry the printed matter quickly or extend the drying time. Our experimental machine is more sustainable, but the effect is not ideal. But we found a solution when we used pz2650 two-color machine to print octave leaflets. First print magenta and cyan (cyan is the full version of the field), dry it for 30 minutes after printing one side, and then print it upside down. This time, there is no scratch. After careful observation and reflection, it is believed that because the cyan printed first is the full version of the field (generally, cyan is printed later), while other colors have no pictures and texts at the side gauge position, because the front side of the paper is printed without being scratched by the side gauge, the paper ball does not damage the smooth surface of the paper at the side gauge position, so after a short dry period, there will be no scratches on the machine for flip printing. Therefore, when printing double-sided prints in the future, first stick the paper ball under the side gauge with transparent tape (do not fully stick it, because the paper ball only needs to be in contact with the paper). It is worth noting that you should not wait until you find scratches to remedy them. It is only effective when you stick it in the first color printing. After turning off the oil pump and power supply for a period of time, the effect is OK. Please have a try with interested peers
